| Cookies | |
| It seems these days everyone
wants to know what your doing and where you've on the Internet. They've
come up with some pretty tricky ways to track browsing habits but unless
the actually place some executable code on your machine they generally
rely on Cookies to keep persistent information about you.
Some Cookies are important, they hold configuration and user preference information so just deleting all of the Cookies won't work. If you think about it, some of these Cookies should be deleted as soon as they appear! |

|
|
| Cache | |
| Now the Cache (also called the
Temporary Internet Folder) is a different problem. Everything that
is sent to you or downloaded by you gets saved in the Cache. And when you
shut Internet Explorer down these files are not deleted!
With all of the tricks that can be pulled to get advertising it's hard too keep on top of everything. And with everyone and his brother using pop up or pop under windows you can be sure that there is at least one image in you Cache you'd be embarrassed to have found. |

| What cWatch does | |
| cWatch monitors your Cookies and
Cache and will notify you when things are changed or added.
If you want to know where a Cookie came from you simply right-click on it and you get contact information on who owns the domain the cookie came from, visit their site and search for email addresses to complain to. cWatch can delete Cookies you've selected as soon as they appear, or mark them so they won't be deleted when cWatch does it's House Cleaning. You can also clear your Cache any time you wish or automatically when cWatch is shut down. There are 16 areas of your computer that you can clear out instantly or automatically when cWatch is shut down. This means that you can not only hide what you do on the Internet but also what you've done on your own computer! |

Users of Many Internet Explorer, Outlook and Outlook Express (email and newsgroups) users don't realize that the HTML enabled email or news reader can store Cookies on their system. HTML, RTF or Rich Content email is the same as having a miniature version of the web browser running in your email or newsgroup client. In fact, if you've received any 'questionable' emails that contained images you just as soon not have stored on your system you might be surprised to find the images are stored in your Cache or even your Temp folder for anyone to run across and view! Even after you've deleted the email! *** Caution *** |
